ACCESS CONTROL
It makes sense in modern South Africa to want to employ
some form of access control in your home or your office.
Depending on the level of security upon which you decide,
so will the level of cost directly apply. The simplest
form of access control is already in use in thousands
of offices and homes around the country. This is the
remote controlled gate or gates.
We have all encountered
the barred gate that the office receptionist clicks
open with a button under her desk, and most of us have
remote controlled electric gates to control entrance
to our property. When it comes to larger businesses
or organisations, a much more refined access control
system may be required, and this is in most cases done with the
use of a secondary security unit like a card or biometric
reader.
Whereas access control to the home or small office
does not warrant the expense of biometric readers (iris
readers, fingerprint readers, retina readers, hand vein
readers, ear recognition, facial thermograms, DNA testing,
odour and palm prints) it may well warrant the use of
a cctv surveillance system, which can be installed relatively
easily and at not too great an expense.

not just access control, but also a many other security
systems and equipment.
