The two differet parts of the now Hluhluwe-imfolozi reserves have different vegetations and allow for different game viewing. The southern third of the reserve is exclusively a wilderness area and only foot expeditions are allowed. This reserve provides any visitor with ample game viewing opportunities.
- Tswalu Kalahari Reserve: largest private game reserve in South Africa, home to the legendary 'big five', cheetah, endangered wild dog, roan and sable antelope as well as aardwolf and aardvark and the scarce desert black rhinoceros.
